From the exotic monkey puzzle to the majestic oak, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and its regional gardens are home to a diverse collection of trees. Whether celebrating a birth or marriage, or remembering a loved one, you can support RBGE by becoming a guardian of one of these iconic landmarks for 10 years.
Very few of our trees currently display any educational information. Your support through tree adoption will fund a new interpretation panel for your tree, enabling us to share its history and conservation significance with thousands more people. You will receive a personal dedication on the panel, a bespoke certificate of support, and a map of your tree’s location in the Garden.
Trees are available for 10 year adoptions, at a cost of £5,000 in Edinburgh and £2,000 in Dawyck.
If you would like to discuss tree adoption in person, including paying by instalments, please call the Fundraising Department on 0131 248 2855.
Terms and Conditions apply, please read these before purchasing your adoption.
It is estimated that there will be a 10 week period from the point of ordering before the tree adoption panel is in the Garden. Note that the adoption period starts only once the panel is in situ.
